Polystyrene (PS) granules: is composed of styrenemonomer (SM) polymerization, can be synthesized by a variety of synthetic methods, the current industry mainly by bulk polymerization and suspension polymerization.Polystyrene(PS) is a thermoplastic non-crystalline resin, mainly divided into General Purpose polystyrene (GPPS), High Impact polystyrene (HIPS) and Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) .1. Polystyrene foam (Expanded Polystyrene referred to as EPS) is a light-weight polymer. It is the use of polystyrene resin into the blowing agent, while heating to soften, produce gas,forming a hard closed-cell structure foam Plastic.
2.Impact resistant polystyrene (HIPS) is an impact resistant polystyrene product produced by adding polybutyl rubber particles to polystyrene.
GPPSGPPS are glossy, transparent particles. Light quality, low price, low water absorption, good coloring, dimensional stability,good electrical properties, transparent products, easy processing.GPPS are soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, aliphatic ketones and esters but can only swell in ac/etone. It is resistant to some mineral oils, organic acids,bases, salts, lower alcohols and their aqueous solutions. It has low water absorption and can maintain its mechanical properties and dimensional stability in humid environment. Excellent electrical performance, volume resistance and surface resistance are high, and is not affected by temperature, humidity changes, also not affected by corona discharge.
